Next Generation Construction (Next Gen) was founded by Shakorie Davis in 2009 during the housing crisis. As a lifelong resident of Cleveland and the Northeast Ohio region, Shakorie’s deep connection to the community has been a driving force behind the company’s growth. Beginning his career over 20 years ago as a union carpenter, Shakorie pursued his vision of contributing to Cleveland’s skyline and broader infrastructure development.

Since our founding, Next Gen has grown from a one-man operation into a company with nearly 100 employees. The firm’s success is built on a foundation of service, with a focus on fostering strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and employees alike.

Whether we’re providing Construction Management, General Contracting, Design-Build, Owner’s Representation, or Development services, Next Gen is set to be a best-in-class organization. Our firm manages an annual construction volume of more than $50 million in Northeast Ohio, complemented by a robust pre-construction and estimating capacity of $400+ million annually. This substantial volume demonstrates our ability to handle multiple large- and small-scale projects simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
